YCMOU is the Fifth Open University of the country. The University offers more than 120 different academic programs at affordable costs to large segments of the population by removing barriers of age, entry qualification, place and pace of study.
It is one of the Mega Open Universities in India which disseminates learning through continuing education to the working population in Maharashtra including farmers.
The goal of YCMOU is to become a ‘Mass Varsity’. The University strives to ‘Reach the Unreached’ segments of the society thereby providing need-based academic programs of various levels ranging from certificate to Post-Graduate programs.

Requirements

As the University has gigantic administration, multiple departments and streams it becomes a huge task to manage every activity. Hence, an interactive website with easy operations, multi-departmental login was needed. The University needed:

  • User-friendly website with easy to navigate features and functions.
  • Interactive presentation of the content.
  • User administration services as part of a comprehensive content management system which should be integrated into the website design.
  • Support for visually impaired and otherwise disabled or challenged users.

  • Developed a dynamic website for the client.
  • The admin panel gave an individual login system to all the departments in order to enable each department to upload their content from time to time.
  • All the departments now can work on the same portal discretely hence it's time-saving.
  • To make the uploading authentic an approval system by the IT department works and ensure authorized content is published on the website.
